Goal Progress Bars Updated
Just updated our 2009 Goal Progress Bars to take into account progress made for January. Looks like we had a fairly good month in the way of reaching our net worth goal. If the rest of the year is as good as January then we should be able to surpass this goal. As for our investment account goal, we only obtained 3% towards this goal. However, I am not concerned because we know the majority of progress towards this goal will happen in the later months of 2009. Thus I feel pretty good about our progress so far towards these two goals.

I stumbled upon your site after googling "should I sell off my stocks". While a still have some left in the market I have also lost over 40K...and I'm 7 years from retirement.
I was kind of amused, not trying to a smart-ass or anything, but net worth is nothing until you actually have that money, cash money, in your hand.
I'm currently trying to pay off my credit card debt like everyone else instead of using it to keep the economy afloat but hey....I could assess my net value close to a mil but if no one's buying I'm still only worth my cash in the bank.

There have were times of troubles when I didn't know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright pessimistic person.
I have never thought that there weren't any need in big initial investment.
